In the beginning, drawing was a diversionary tactic to the pressures of newspaper reporting. I could get lost sketching the petals of a rose and forget all about pesky editors and deadline pressures. Yet it was the journalism that brought me into contact with artists from all walks of life. Throughout my career, I actively sought out and interviewed many fine artists. I am indebted to those professionals who openly shared their stories and who - unknowingly - served as an inspiration.
That, along with occasional art classes and a very large collection of art "how to" books, have helped fuel my artistic journey - albeit at a humble pace. Thanks for stopping by.
